The boarder, the groomer, the kennel, a new vet — they want the certificate, not the date you half-remember. Tavi keeps the actual papers on your phone: filed by kind, watched for expiry, handed over in one tap. No signal needed.

Your clinic phones, texts, posts a card. Fine. The awkward thirty seconds is with everyone else — and they want to see it, today, on their counter.
Drop-off is Friday. The dates are in an email from last January, somewhere.
You're standing at the desk. The card is in the glovebox, in the other car.
You moved. The old clinic has the file, and they close at four, in another time zone.
A campsite, a sitter, a ferry desk — asked at the worst possible moment, with one bar of signal.
Tavi is not a replacement for your clinic. It is your copy of what they gave you — for the people they don't talk to.
Photograph the certificate and Tavi reads the dates and the issuer straight off the page, then files it under vaccination, passport, insurance or medical. The PDF the clinic emailed goes in just as well. Either way it sits on Milo's own shelf — so the answer is the paper itself, not a date you're fairly sure about.
Filing the papers, keeping them, finding them and sending them is free — so are the expiry alert, logging and every reminder cadence. Premium is the reading: letting Tavi pull the dates and the issuer off a photographed certificate for you, plus Vet mode and the vet-ready PDF.
One paper, or the whole kind as a bundle — straight into WhatsApp, Mail or AirDrop.
Tell Tavi the species and age. It lays out meals, walks, water, litter and meds at sensible times — then you make it yours.
Short, reward-based sessions — the approach veterinary behaviourists back. Every skill breaks into small steps, and Tavi counts the reps for you.
Reward-based methods are the position of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior. No punishment, no prong collars.
The path is ordered for your dog: a husky at seven months is told recall comes first, because scent and roam drives move it up the list — and the reasoning is shown, not just the order.
See the whole path →Tavi reads the records you've kept — weights, symptoms, meds, visits — and answers in plain language, showing exactly which logs it used.
Tavi summarises your records — it isn't a vet, and it'll tell you when to see one.
Log food, vet bills, meds, grooming and insurance — or snap the receipt. Tavi totals it per pet, per month, per category.
Ask each line the way you pay it — monthly bills monthly, the vet once a year. Tavi totals the year either way. Starting figures are rough illustrations; drag them to match your life.
A line, a mood and a photo. Over time it becomes the story you'll want to scroll back through — and a useful record when something feels off.
Written in plain English, sourced from published veterinary guidance, and open to everyone — whether you use Tavi or not. No paywall, no sign-up, no email for a PDF.
Chocolate, grapes, paracetamol, lilies — what is actually toxic, how much matters, and when to ring the vet.
Can dogs eat chocolate? →A calculator that starts from resting energy requirement and shows its working — for dogs and for cats.
Open the feeding calculator →The everyday worries — upset stomachs, sneezing, not eating, limping — and the signs that change the answer.
Dog diarrhea: when to worry →The certificate itself. Papers you've photographed or saved into Tavi's vault are filed by kind, so you can share one document — or the whole vaccination record as a bundle — straight from your phone's share sheet into WhatsApp, Mail or AirDrop. Anything already on the device sends with no signal; if a paper has only ever lived on another device, Tavi fetches it first and tells you it's doing so. If they'd rather read it off the screen at a counter, Vet mode shows allergies, current medication, vaccines, weight, microchip and your vet's contact in large read-only type, with the display held awake. Keeping the papers, filing them, finding them and sharing them is free. Premium adds the reading — Tavi pulling the dates and the issuer off a photographed certificate — plus Vet mode and the vet-ready PDF.
Partly — and we'd rather tell you straight. Reminders are free and you pick the cadence, so you can keep a six-month reminder of your own running alongside the date printed on the certificate, and the certificate is there either way. What Tavi doesn't do yet is carry two different due dates on a single shot; the second one has to be your own repeating reminder. It's on the list.
Yes — Tavi is built for both. Each pet gets its own profile, colour and species-aware care plan, so cats are never an afterthought.
No. Tavi is offline-first — everything lives on your device and works with no signal. An optional free account adds cloud backup and sync across devices.
Completely. Records are stored on your device by default. If you turn on sync, they go to your own private account — only you can see them. We never sell data or track your location.
One pet plus all core tracking and every reminder cadence is free forever — and so is the document vault: filing papers, finding them, sharing them and the expiry alert cost nothing. Premium ($6.99/mo or $29.99/yr) adds unlimited pets, trends, AI insights, the symptom checker, Vet mode, having a photographed document read for you — dates, issuer, expiry — and vet-ready PDF export. Founding members can also unlock everything for life with a one-time $49.99 Lifetime plan.
Yes. Tavi hands each due date to your phone's own notification system the moment you schedule it, so the alert fires on time even when the app is closed and even with no internet — being offline-first doesn't weaken reminders, it's exactly why they don't depend on a server. Recurring ones quietly roll forward each time you log them. (Just keep notifications allowed for Tavi in your phone settings.)
